What is a dynamic QR code?
It doesn’t contain a fixed destination, but a short address on our service. When scanned, we redirect to your current destination. That’s why you can change the destination without the code image changing.
Can I customise the QR code design?
Yes. There are 10 QR code designs with round dots, gradients or a “Scan me” frame. You choose the colours and a logo in the middle. Every design is generated so that it stays reliably scannable.
What is stored when a code is scanned?
Only the time and the rough device type, such as iPhone, Android or computer. We store no IP addresses and set no cookies. Individual scan events are deleted after 400 days, the total count is kept.
What happens if I pause or delete a code?
A paused code shows a notice when scanned and can be reactivated at any time. A deleted code is gone for good: printed copies then lead nowhere.
What should I watch out for when printing?
Use the SVG download, don’t print the code smaller than about 2 × 2 cm and make sure the contrast is strong, ideally dark on light. Test every code with several phones before printing.
